Goodbye Kayleigh

I was so sad to hear of the passing of little baby Kayleigh. Many of you may have seen this "Pray for Kayleigh" button. She was born over 3 months early weighing in at only 1 lb 1 oz, not much bigger than my Harry. She held on strong for over 11 months but went to Heaven yesterday. May your hearts and prayers go out to her family. You can read more of her story here. How short life truly is, but how blessed we are to have these sweet angels watching over us. Makes me miss my Harrison so much today.

It just broke my heart when I read of this today. I just cannot stand to here of another set of parents losing a child.

Harrison Samuel Maw

Harrison's story: Harrison was our surprise baby, I clung to the fact that because he was a surprise that Heavenly Father would not take him from us. But from the beginning I had complications. I bled heavily throughout the entire pregnancy, I had a subchorionic Hemmatoma. Harrison was a trooper the whole time, always measuring ahead of schedule. I was told due to the bleeding and a large blood clot that I would deliver early, little did we know how early. I was hospitalized at 20 weeks and was becoming weaker everyday. I was told that if I could hang on for a few more weeks Harrison's chance of surviving would double. One night due to a hemmorrhage I lost so much blood that my body finally gave up and went into labor. There was nothing more they could do, my placenta had ruptured and I had an infection. Our baby would be born and there would be nothing they could do. Our beautiful, healthy baby boy was born October 28, 2008 at 20 wks and 4 days weighing 13.2 oz and was 10 inches long. Harrison was alive and well until the last few minutes before he was born, the labor was too much for his little body to handle. We are grateful everyday for the hours we were able to hold him, kiss him, and love him. He was so perfect in every way and needed to come to this earth to gain a body and then return to our Heavenly Father for more important work. We love him dearly and know our little angel is in heaven watching over us and waiting patiently for us all to be together again. We know Families can be together Forever and that one day we'll get the opportunity to raise him. We love you and miss you Harrison.

Now I have the feeling,that we knew you before, and when the time comes,we'll see you once more. So this life will be,but a brief delay, while we gain the assurance,to reunite some day. Even though I may grieve,and wipe the tears with my sleeve, you've changed our lives forever,and brought our family closer together.
